About Us
The Mission of Reaching the Goal for African ChildrenWe want the children of Africa to be free from hunger. We also want them to
- Have a safe place to sleep
- Have an opportunity to go to school
- Believe that there is hope for the future
FoundersWe are Bill and Linda Fleit, recently retired and living on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Our goal to help the children of Africa started in 2009 when we became involved with the WorldTeach program. As volunteers, we were sent to teach for a year in the impoverished town of Rundu, Namibia. This experience opened our eyes to the extreme hardships that so many children in Africa face on a day-to-day basis. After returning from Namibia, we decided we wanted to do something to help.Board of DirectorsWe are very proud of our Board – many different personalities and experiences, but their common goal is to improve the lives of others.Rosemary Bowler, elementary school educator and administrator, consultant, and community organizer.Carol Fleit Cipriani, currently continues her long career in commercial lending and banking.Theodore Griffin, retired businessman involved in sales throughout his career.Cole Morton, retired businessman and Vietnam veteran, active in helping people deal with issues regarding war and its implications.Lisa Morton, Cole’s wife, a retired Unitarian minister serving the Cape Cod community.
